Across the day, your Neighbourhood Task Force has been out and about across Thanet, engaging with residents and visitors alike. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Whilst on patrol, officers received a report of a shoplifting incident in Ramsgate, where two females were alleged to have stolen a quantity of food items from a local store.

Acting swiftly, officers spotted the suspect vehicle in the Westwood Cross area and carried out a stop 🚔 . Both occupants were detained, and searches of the individuals and vehicle led to the recovery of a variety of suspected stolen goods, including clothing, fresh meat, and other items.

🔍 Following further enquiries, officers established that both individuals were also linked to other reported theft offences in recent days.

✅ Both women were arrested on suspicion of theft-related offences and remain in custody while enquiries continue.

This incident highlights how a routine day of patrols and community engagement can quickly turn into proactive policing action. By remaining visible, vigilant and ready to respond, officers were able to put their skills and experience into action to protect local businesses and support our communities. 💙
